LG today announces the launch of its new ultralight laptop LG17Z90Q , a 17-inch device that belongs to the LG gram range to offer greater performance and user experience thanks to its autonomy and lightweight design.
From 20bits we have had the opportunity to test this product together with its corresponding monitor.

The model includes the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2050 graphics card , a reference with 4 GB of Vram that increases speed and performance without sacrificing the highest image quality of the LG gram at 4K UHD. If we delve into detail, these are the characteristics of the laptop:

The RTX graphics card represents autonomy, lightness and image quality to offer maximum capabilities to users. This new model maintains the durability of the series’ high-strength nanocarbon-magnesium chassis with an ultra-thin bezel, passing seven military-standard MIL-810 G tests.
On the other hand, the screen has the 2560×1600 IPS panel in 16:10 format, which improves the color range up to 99% of DCI-P3 and includes an anti-reflective treatment to offer the best image experience, regardless of lighting conditions. .

The components that are provided in the box are the monitor, its corresponding cover and a cable with two USB-C ports. Regarding its characteristics, these are the specifications of the product that I have tested:

The design is quite simple . On the front there is no built-in technological element, while on the left side there is a USB-C port and on the right a brightness button and another USB-C connector. Brightness levels can be adjusted very easily, just press the top (increase) or bottom (decrease) to change the hue.
The cover is glued to the magnet to use it as a support, in this way, the cover can be placed at two angles (it cannot be used vertically, only horizontally). Personally, I like the monitor to be as straight as possible so that it is at eye level.

To connect monitor to laptop, USB-C cable will be needed , also, if user set the extended mode, they can adjust the screen ratio and layout through the following steps:
- Press the button with the ‘Windows’ logo + ‘ESC’ on the keyboard to open the Start menu.
- When the ‘Settings’ screen appears, you need to select ‘System’ → ‘Display’ → ‘Extend these displays’ → ‘Multiple displays’.
- Choose monitor 2 to change the settings as desired under ‘Scale and Layout’.
On the other hand, there is the possibility of installing the ‘OnScreen Control’ software to use various functions such as division, monitor configuration and screen switching. These are the steps to follow:
