 Grinch, Netflix

The Grinch is a classic Christmas movie. Despite being 22 years old, it still has a freshness that many current films do not have and thanks to having a most striking artistic section, it is timeless.

Rise of the Guardians, Netflix

Another animated film that joins the list of recommendations. Rise of the Guardians is a 2012 film that can be considered a children’s version of Avengers Infinity War. In this movie, different popular characters come together to defeat a threat that wants to steal the dreams and hopes of children.

At a general level, we find ourselves with a complex film that is capable of maintaining tension at all times, in addition to the fact that the general animation of all the special effects of the protagonists is an absolute work of art. Of course, the most striking thing is to see Santa Claus wielding swords to face evil . Movie link to Netflix.

Gremlins, HBO Max

We continue with the classics. Gremlins is one of those movies that has made history and has been constantly referenced in pop culture. We find a story with fantastic elements and that is, a father returns from Chinatown with a pet for his son and rules on caring for it .

Being a gift for a child, the rules of care end up being omitted and when this happens, a series of events is unleashed that will disturb not only the life of this family but also the entire city . Movie link to HBO Max.

Eyes Wide Shut, HBO Max

Stanley Kubrick at the controls of this film starring Tom Cruise and Nicole Kidman presented in 1999 and which has gained cult film status . This tape is not for all audiences and, in fact, it is one of those that must be somewhat careful when viewing it in a home where there are minors.

The film’s protagonist is a New York doctor in the middle of the Christmas season who finds himself involved in situations far from the conventional where pleasure is above all else and who will call into question the wonderful life he has been living up to now. Movie link to HBO Max.

Elf, HBO Max

We continue with HBO Max and now it’s time for a movie starring Will Ferre l. Elf is an irreverent comedy in which we meet a person who has been raised in the North Pole as an elf and who decides to travel to New York to discover his true identity.

It may be too much his own at times with situations that border on embarrassing others, but it is extremely interesting thanks to the work of Will Ferrel. Movie link to HBO Max.

A father in distress, Disney+

One of the quintessential Christmas movies. Arnold Schwarzenegger (Howard), a brilliant executive who loves his family but doesn’t seem to have time to spend with them, is challenged to find and get his son’s toy of choice this Christmas .

Turbo Man is the name of this toy, but this is not all since he is the most wanted in the world, becoming the greatest odyssey you can imagine. Possibly one of Arnold Schwarzenegger’s best roles and all within a Christmas movie . Movie link on Disney+.

In the crystal jungle, Disney+

Things are going wild and with La Jungla de cristal this little parenthesis closes. Bruce Willis stars as John McClane, a New York cop who, due to fate, finds himself involved in the hijacking of a skyscraper in Los Angeles on Christmas Eve.

John McClane will have to face this terrorist group and he must do it to get back home for Christmas , in addition to saving his wife who is taken hostage in this kidnapping. Movie link on Disney+.

Nightmare Before Christmas, Disney+

We return to animation with The Nightmare Before Christmas and, although it is usually set on Halloween, it is still a Christmas movie. Jack Skellington is a skeleton who is tired of the routine of Halloween and to his complete amazement he discovers Christmas in Christmas Town .

Having discovered Christmas, the next thing he plans is to improve this festivity, although his intentions are completely good, the truth is that nothing goes as it should and, in fact, he even kidnaps Santa Claus. This film directed by Henry Selick and featuring the story of Tim Burton along with Michael McDowell is an instant classic . Movie link on Disney+.

Tokyo Godfathers, Filmin

It’s Christmas, snow covers the city of Tokyo for another day in which three homeless people, Gin, Hana and Miyuki, struggle to survive in the best possible way. His whole life will change when one night they find an unexpected gift in the garbage, a baby that has been abandoned . Although the logical idea is to leave it with the police, Hana decides against it.

She has always wanted to have a baby and therefore does not want to get rid of it except to give it to its real parents. This Christmas story is one of the few films that Satoshi Kon has left and is considered one of the best anime films . The story is touching and perfect for these dates. Link of the film in Filmin.

Silent night, night of death; filming

Leaving aside the stories with happy endings, we turn to a horror tape. Silent Night, Deadly Night is a Christmas horror classic bringing the slasher to these dates designed to be with families. The premise is simple: a boy is traumatized after seeing his parents die at the hands of Santa Claus .

This trauma added to life in an orphanage drives him crazy when he finds a job as Santa Claus in a shopping mall. Obviously it is not a movie for children, but it can be perfect to release a little tension after having seen a huge number of Christmas-themed movies . Link of the film in Filmin.
